Team Registration Questions Answers:

  1. I already have a team in your league. How do I register my team for the next season?
Go to the current team registration page. Fill out and submit the info.
  2. I want to register a new team in your league. How can I do that?
Go to the new team registration page. Fill out and submit the info. Pay the required, non-refundable deposit.
  3. How much does it cost?
For Spring 2008, the cost is split in the following manner:
    • League fee: $325
    • Player fee: $24/player
    • Referee fee: $33/game (paid to refs at the field)
    • Bond fee: $100 (fully refundable if no fines accrued)
For a roster of 20 players and eight games, your team would pay $1169 ($325 + $24*20 + $33*8 + $100) for the season. Of that, $905 is paid to GWASA and $284 is paid to the referees ($33 each game).
  4. Are referee fees included in the cost?
No. You pay the referees at the field, in cash, each game.
  5. Do you provide team jerseys?
No. We do not provide team jerseys anymore.
  6. What is the bond fee for?
The bond fee is to cover any possible fines that your team may accrue during the season. These fines are usually for forfeits, as the forfeiting team must pay the whole referee fee. There are also possible fines due to sanctions from red cards and general team behavior.
  7. When is our money due?
There are two payment time frames:
    • Before the first game of the season the following is due:
      • League fee: $325
      • 11 player fees: $264
      • Bond fee: $100
      • Total: $689
    • Before the third game the remaining is due:
      • Any player fees above the 11 already paid for.
  8. Is our roster size limited?
No. Your roster size is unlimited. However, you must pay the player fees for everyone on your roster.
  9. When are rosters due?
You do not have to do the legwork anymore to collect your player's information. All players on your team must register with GWASA on their own. This way we get the info we need and you don't have the headache of collecting it. Players MUST register with us NO later than the Wednesday before the third game. Please send them to the current player registration page. This page will deactivate after this date. So, your players need to register by then.
  10. Can I add more players after the rosters freeze?
Normally, no. However, if a player on your roster gets injured and can NOT play for the rest of the season we will allow you to replace them. We will remove the injured player from your roster and add the new one. A new player registration fee must be paid for the new player.
  11. I am a player on a team in your league. How do I register?
Go to the current player registration page. Fill out the form, click submit and you should be all set.
